Cosmic Escentuals began because Veronica could not find body care that did what it promised. So she started reading past the front of the bottle, into the ingredients behind it, and what each one actually contributes.
Years of that research is what our formulas are built on. We choose ingredients for three things: how they feel going on, how long they keep your skin comfortable, and whether they belong in something you use every day.
Because everything is made by hand in small batches, we know what is in every jar we sell, and we will always tell you.

Shea Butter
Deeply moisturizing and rich in fatty acids. It is what gives a whipped butter its body and staying power.
Mango Butter
Lighter than shea and absorbs faster, which keeps the whip from feeling heavy or greasy.
Squalane
A remarkably light emollient that mirrors skin's own lipids, so it absorbs almost immediately.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil
Unusually stable, and it helps hold moisture in place rather than letting it evaporate off.
Hemp Seed Oil
A dry-feeling oil rich in essential fatty acids. Nourishing without leaving a film.
Avocado Oil
A heavier nourishing oil that helps skin stay comfortable instead of tightening again in an hour.
Jojoba Oil
Closest of the plant oils to skin's own sebum, so the scrub cleanses without stripping.
Arrowroot Powder
The reason our butters absorb to a soft matte finish rather than a slick one.
Oatmeal
A quiet ingredient that helps the formula feel soothing on skin that is easily irritated.
Fifteen herbs, flowers, and seeds.
Our hair and beard oil is not simply blended, the carrier oils are infused with fifteen herbs, flowers, and seeds before they ever reach a bottle. Infusion takes time, which is exactly why it does not happen at scale.
That base is why the blend absorbs the way it does, and why the same bottle works on scalp, hair, and beard.
Scented on purpose, or not at all.
Scent is a real part of why a ritual feels like one, so we do not apologize for it. We use skin-safe fragrance oils, chosen and measured for use on the body.
If fragrance is not for you, our Bare Moon collection is made with the same base formula, fragrance left out entirely, not masked, just absent.
